FORMULA:
Each ml contains:
Florfenicol 300 mg
N-Methyl-2-pyrrolidona 245 mg
Propylenglycol 200 mg
Polyethylenglycol 300 q.s. 1 ml
Rheinfenicol 30 is a fluoridated analogous of thiamphenicol. It is a synthetic antibiotic with a broad spectrum against a great number of gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria. It has principally a bacteriostatic effect and it acts joining itself to the ribosomal sub unity 50s, inhibiting the bacterial protein synthesis.
INDICATIONS:
Injectable antibiotic for the control of diseases in bovines and porcines caused by Rheinfenicol 30-sensitive bacteria. Respiratory Disease Treatment, including the Bovine Respiratory Disease of frequent appearance in feedlots and animals in confinement. Calves diarrheas. Foot rot. Keratoconjunctivitis. Genital tract infections, endometritis. Infections in general.
Treatment of respiratory infections in porcines caused by strains of Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Pasteurella multocida and Micoplasma hyopneumoniae sensitive to florfenicol.
SUSCEPTIBLE ETHIOLOGICAL AGENTS:
Gram negative:
Pasteurella haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida, Haemophilus sommus, Haemophilus influenzae, Escherichia coli, Salmonella spp, Moraxella spp, Klebsiella spp, Enterococcus spp, Shigella spp, Treponema, Hyodysentariae, Bacteroides spp, Bordetella bronchiseptica, Proteus spp, Neisseria spp, Bacteroids melaninogenicus.
Gram positive:
Corynebacterim pyogenes, Streptococcus agalactiae, Streptococcus dysgalactiae, Streptococcus uberis, Streptococcus zooepidermicus, Streptococcus aureus.
ADMINISTRATION MEANS:
Apply by intramuscular means in the neck board.
DOSAGE:
Supply 1 ml every 15 kgof body weight (20 mg/kg. b.w.), two doses at 48-hour interval.
Every 50 kg add 3,30 ml
Every 100 kg add 6,70 ml
Every 150 kg add 10 ml
Every 200 kg add 13,30 ml
Every 250 kg add 16,70 ml
Every 300 kg add 20 ml
Every 350 kg add 23,30 ml
Every 400 kg add 26,70 ml
Every 450 kg add 30 ml
Every 500 kg add 33 ml
In the case of subcutaneous injection only one application of 2 ml each 15 Kg of weight (40 mg/Kg).
Porcines: dosage is 15 mg/kg b.w. Administer 1 ml each 20 Kg of weight (15 mg/Kg), by intramuscular injection.
In case of intramuscular application in both species, use 2 doses at 48-hour intervals, that is to say, apply once and then again 48 hours afterwards.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Use sterile instruments to take product out of container and application. Disinfect the application area. Keep hygiene conditions before, during and after application.
WARNINGS:
A local reaction in tissues may appear at the inoculation point, which disappears after a few days. It is convenient for doses higher than 25 ml to make applications in different points. Keep out of the reach of children. Keep at a temperature between 4º and 25º C. Side effects commonly observed in pigs are, diarrhea and/or transitory perianal and rectal erythema/edema, these effects can be observed during a week.
Use restrictions:
Bovines destined for human consumption shall not be slaughtered before 28 days after conclusion of treatment.
Withdrawal period for pigs: 15 days.
Product should not be administered to dairy cattle whose milk production is destined for human consumption.
Do not administer together with penicillins.
Do not use in hogs with less than 2 Kg of weight.
Do not use in female pigs during gestation nor during lactation.
