STEROIDAL ANTI INFLAMMATORY
FORMULA:
Every ml contains:
Dexamethasone *..................... 2.0 mg
Injection Water q.s........................ 1 ml
* Corresponding to 2.63 mg of Dexamethasone as sodium phosphate
DESCRIPTION:
Rheindexa is a quick-action Corticosteroid containing Dexamethasone. Dexamethasone action is excellent as an anti-inflammatory (25 times more powerful than hydrocortisone, as glucogenic, antiallergic, and as anti-shock. It is also used when ruminants are induced.
INDICATIONS:
Non infectious acute anti inflammatory reactions in soft tissue and skeletal muscle: myositis, arthritis, ostitis, bursitis tendo and synovitis.
Acute allergic reactions: dermatitis, fotosensibilización, eczema, urticaria.
Ear ande ye infections: Otitis, blepharitis, conjunctivitis.
Schocks status and stress: Transport, climatic reaction, exhaustion.
As coadjuvant in puerperal paresis: Síndrome vaca caída.
Tratamiento de cetosis primaria: Hypoglycemia. Antitoxic: anaphylactic hypersensitivity..
Detoxifying effects: Antitoxic
Minimal effects: immunosupressor and mineralocorticoid and under protein catabolism.
Species: Bovines, equines, ovines, caprines, porcines, felines and canines.
DOSAGE AND USE:
Cats and dogs:
Anti inflammatory/ antiallergic : 0.125 - 1 mg total dose /day
IV, IM, SC.
Immunosupressor: 0.2 - 1 mg/ kg IV or SC every 12 hours.
Shock or acute adrenocortical insufficiency: 4–6 mg/IV.
Horses:
Anti inflammatory/ antiallergic: 0.05 – 0.2 mg / kg , once per day
IV or IM ó 2.5–20 IV o IM.
Livestock:
Anti inflammatory/ antiallergic: 5–40 mg IV o IM.
Shock : 1–4 mg / kg IM or IV every 4 hours.
Porcines, caprines and ovines:
Anti inflammatory: 0.05 to 0,10 mg/ kg of body weight
0,025 to 0.05 ml/ kg of body weight
IM or IV
Dose adjustment must be carried out according to Veterinary criteria.

Disinfect area where product is applied.

WITHDRAWAL TIME:
The meat of treated animals must not be destined for consumption during treatment or within the 8 days after application.
The milk of treated animals must not be destined for consumption during treatment or within the 72 hours after application.
